Why BC Teachers Are Angry (2014)

My aunt is a teacher and asked me to pass this around. I know a lot of students are angry about their schooling being fucked up, but make sure you know the situation. Make sure you know who to be angry at.

The public needs to know that this strike is over a decade in the making. I’m hearing more and more sympathy from people as this wears on, but it’s getting to the point where we need action.

Please please please consider writing an email to (or calling) your MLA, the Minister of Education, and/or our Premier herself. Info can be found here: http://www.leg.bc.ca/mla/3-1-1.htm

boom.

This is so dumb, I just see myself as a human floating motionless with my perfect Greek physique in a 37 degree cosmic miasma.

Theme Spotlight | Startup for Shopify

Shopify has continually proven itself an inspiring platform to work with. We’ve said some version of that pretty often, but it really is true. Shopify’s structure, novelty, and diverse user needs make it an amazingly fun platform with which to design and develop interfaces.

Startup is born out of this variety of niche needs, designed for companies, campaigns, and individual sellers with focused pitches or product lines. It’s an ideal next step after a Kickstarter or Indiegogo campaign, serving as a fitting flagship store without the brick and mortar.

Startup is really, extremely, we-nearly-killed-ourselves-making-it-so modular. Don’t just fine-tune minutiae but control virtually everything on your page, building a completely singular storefront with as much or as little information as you’d like. Reinvent your store as often and as completely as you like—Startup serves you dutifully at any stage of business.

Of course—most importantly—Startup also sells things extremely well. Everything leads to the “Order now” section, which allows customers to purchase your product directly from the home page. It’s everything—your product pitch, catalogue, testimonials, mission statement, and branding—all in one place.

Check out Startup's four themed demo shops—Tech, Art, Cloth, and Home—and pick it up today for $180.
